Web design in Punta Gorda & Southwest Florida

A local designer and developer who actually ships. I build fast, custom websites for Southwest Florida businesses, and unlike an agency, the person you talk to is the person who does the work.

Local, and one person deep

You get the builder, not an account manager

Most web design in this area is either a national template mill you will never reach on the phone, or an agency where the person selling you the site is not the person building you the site. I am one person who does the whole thing: design, code, brand, and the launch. When something needs to change, you text me, not a ticket queue.

I am based in Punta Gorda and work with businesses across Charlotte County and Southwest Florida, plus remote clients anywhere. Real local work already on the ground: shops, trades, and tour operators from here to the coast.

What I do

Websites, software, and the brand around them

Web design & development

From a clean one-page site for a local trade to a full custom build. Designed and coded by one person who does both, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

Redesigns & rescues

Got a site that is slow, dated, or a WordPress mess nobody can update? I rebuild it into something fast that you (or I) can actually maintain.

Custom software & apps

When an off-the-shelf tool does not fit, I build the thing: client portals, booking flows, internal tools, iOS apps. Full-stack, shipped.

Brand & logo

Logo, signage, print, the whole look. I came up through design before code, so the site and the brand actually match.

Redesigns & rescues

Your old site served you. It might be time to retire it.

Most of the sites I rescue were perfectly good sites... in 2016. Nothing failed, things aged: phones took over the traffic, Google started grading speed, the person who built it moved on, and somewhere along the way the login stopped working. Half the local businesses I talk to are in exactly this spot, so if that is you, you are in good company.

That is how Archer Airboat Tours came to me: a real operation with a decade of five-star reviews, a site that had quietly quit on it, and its strongest domain forwarding all that hard-earned authority into an empty page. It left as a fast site with an interactive map and a booking system. Sites age like boats: it is nobody's fault, and both come back better after a haulout.

Bec’s the real deal. Web design, branding, even a video she cut together from my phone clips: all of it fast, high quality, and zero hassle. Text her and she’ll get right on it. Can’t recommend her enough for any web or design work.

★★★★★
The talent that Bec has is unmatched. Give her a vague concept of an idea and she will run with it: the page she designed for us was the exact tone and message we didn’t even know we wanted to convey. The design is flawless and easy to navigate, and she is so accommodating and easy to work with. There aren’t enough stars to rate her limitless talent and skill!

The obvious question

“Do I even need a website? I have Facebook.”

Maybe not! If your page is full and the phone rings, I will tell you so. But everything you build on a platform is built on rented water: the algorithm owns your reach, the marketplace owns your reviews, and a locked account can erase your marketing overnight. A site of your own is the one piece you actually keep. I wrote the whole argument out, no sales pitch attached: do you actually need a website?

What it costs

Straight numbers, up front

Get Found

$1,500 to $2,000

A clean, fast site that puts you on the map: content-first and built to get found on Google. For any business running on a Facebook page or nothing at all.

Full Business Site

$2,800 to $3,800

A real presence for an established business: more pages, galleries, lead forms, and the brand tied together across all of it.

Store / Booking

Starts at $5,000

For anyone taking money or reservations online: e-commerce or booking built in. Shopify builds start at $4,500.

Every project gets a written quote in my client portal before anything starts: line-item scope, exact price, click to accept. After launch, care plans from $60 a month keep it updated and backed up.

Fair questions

Straight answers

How much does a website cost?

The real numbers are on this page: most sites land between $1,500 and $3,800, and store or booking builds start at $5,000. Every project gets a written line-item quote in my client portal before anything starts, so the price you accept is the price you pay (no "call for pricing" games, I hate them too).

How long does it take?

A Get Found site typically launches in two to three weeks, bigger builds run longer, and the honest variable is how fast photos and content reach me. Your quote comes with a timeline, and you can watch the build move through its stages in the client portal.

Can you fix my existing site instead of rebuilding it?

Often, yes. Slow WordPress, a template the business outgrew, a login nobody can find since the person who built it moved on: I untangle these all the time. Sometimes it is a tune-up, and sometimes the honest answer is that a fresh build costs less than the rescue. I will tell you which before you spend a dollar.

Do you build WordPress or custom sites?

Both, and I will steer you to the right one for your business, not the one I feel like building. WordPress when you want to edit things yourself and keep costs down (Lee’s Trees and Southern Bee Co run on it). Custom code when speed, booking, or real software is the point (the site you are reading runs on Next.js).

Who owns the site when it is done?

You do. Your domain, your hosting, your content, all of it. If we part ways tomorrow, you keep the keys and the site keeps running. No proprietary builder holding your business hostage, no surprise ransom to make changes.

Do we need to meet in person?

Up to you. I am local, so coffee in Punta Gorda works, and so does a call or a text thread. Most projects run fine on one conversation at the start and messages after that. Either way you are talking to me, the person doing the work, not an account manager.

Will my site show up on Google?

It will be built to: fast pages, structured data, and the local signals Google reads, wired to your Google Business Profile. What I will not do is promise you the number one spot by Friday. Real rankings take weeks to months, and anyone guaranteeing otherwise is selling something.

The honest version, written out

Can you run my social media?

No, and you deserve the real reason: it is the same reason I do not sell SEO retainers. Running social media never ships and never finishes, and the people who are great at it genuinely love that rhythm. I do not (my own accounts are admissible as evidence: the silence over there is monumental), and paying someone to do a job they would rather not be doing is how you end up with a business page that posts like a hostage. What I will happily do is the words: site copy, service pages, your review-ask text, even a month of post copy drafted in one sitting so posting becomes paste-and-go. Copywriting is written once and keeps working (and it is already on my menu, from $150 a page).

What happens after launch?

Your call. Care plans start at $60 a month for updates, backups, and small changes, or you take the keys and run it yourself. Either way the site is yours.
