TideStitch

Privacy Policy

No tracking, no ads, no accounts. Your data stays yours.

Last updated: June 27, 2026

TideStitch is built to keep your data yours. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

TideStitch does not collect, track, sell, or share any personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers, and no account to create. Everything you make stays on your device and in your own private iCloud.

What the app stores, and where

  • Your designs, fabric photos, jelly rolls, and preferences are stored locally on your device and, if you're signed into iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database).
  • This data is not sent to the developer or to any third-party server. The developer cannot see your fabric photos or designs.
  • App preferences (such as your seam-allowance setting and palette layout) are stored locally on your device.

Camera and photo access

  • TideStitch asks for camera access only to photograph fabric for your swatches, and photo library access only when you choose to import existing photos.
  • Photos are processed on your device and saved with your designs. They are not uploaded anywhere except your own private iCloud (if iCloud is enabled).
  • You can decline these permissions; the app still works using whichever photo source you allow.

iCloud

If you use iCloud, your TideStitch data syncs across your devices through Apple's iCloud service. That data is handled under Apple's privacy policy and stored in your private database, which the developer cannot access. You can manage or delete this data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud on your device.

Children's privacy

TideStitch does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It contains no ads and no data collection, and is suitable for all ages.

Deleting your data

  • Delete individual designs, fabrics, or jelly rolls inside the app at any time.
  • Deleting the app removes its local data from your device.
  • iCloud data can be removed through your device's iCloud settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
